Hire The Cheapest DJ You Can Find - Especially If They Throw In Extras

Say what? The old saying "You get what you pay for" is so true when it comes to hiring a DJ - whether it's for your wedding, corporate event or prom.  If a DJ offers to have 2 DJs at your event, throws in lights, party handouts, extra time, additional equipment setups - the reality is - they are not worth their price and they are trying to cover for it by sweetening the deal so that you think it's too good to pass up.  At The DJ Network, we do not discount our prices, negotiate or try to pressure you into signing contracts.

Why are our prices slightly higher than many area DJs?  The simple fact is - we are worth it.  We have more experience, we are more polished, better trained and have a reputation that clearly indicates this.  Our typical wedding package includes approximately $10,000 worth of sound gear.  Most other area DJs might only have $3,000 or less in gear.  Hmm, makes you wonder what else they skimp on?  It is not unusual for us to get 1 or 2 calls each month asking us to help a frantic bride who's original DJ company backed out on them or doesn't return their calls.  Again, you get what you pay for.

One of my DJs was up at the Log Cabin recently for a corporate event.  In the other room, there were over 400 high school students for a winter formal.  The DJ in their had only 2 speakers and had about $100 worth of lights placed precariously on a table in front of him.  This was a disgrace to the DJ industry.  He was so under powered and in over his head.  With The DJ Network, we would have brought in 3 or 4 pairs of speakers and our $10,000 light truss filled with club style lighting.  If the client had only spent just a little more, they would have had a night to remember.

So, before you hire the cheapest DJ that you can find that throws in extra hours and whatever else - stop and think about why they need to do this - it's probably because they are not that good of a DJ to start with and this is the only way they can get business.  What good is it that you saved $200 on your DJ when your guests leave bored to tears soon after dinner is done?  Isn't it worth a little more to guarantee the success of your event?  Give us a call and let us explain to you in person the difference between quality entertainment and buying something because it's cheap.
