These are all indicators
that he is indeed the marrying kind.
-
Men are most likely to
marry after they become uncomfortable with the singles scene.
-
Men have biological
clocks. They want to be young enough to teach their sons to fish and
play ball.
-
Men who look at
marriage as a financial arrangement one where the woman has the most
to gain are NOT good prospects. RUN for the hills!
-
Another things to
remember about guys and marriage: Men whose parents divorced when they
were young are often gun-shy about getting hitched.
-
Men often marry women
whose backgrounds - religion, politics, values and social status
match theirs.
And the final way to
figure out if your guy is the marrying kind: Men who have their own
places and have lived as independent self-supporting adults are more
likely to marry.

"Live" - A Strolling Musician
No more do you
have to listen to a whole Kenny G disc or elevator music during your
cocktail hour and dinner. Bring the unique talents of a "live"
strolling musician to your reception and your guests will surely have
an unforgettable time.
Ben Dean joins
Atmosphere Productions to perform musical pieces for your traditional
Wedding Ceremonies, outdoor Wedding Ceremonies and as a strolling
Violinist during Cocktail Hour and/or Dinner.
It’s Time To Be
Unique
Take tradition and throw
it out of the window. White table cloths? Why not green and yellow?
Add a splash of color to your wedding. Drape the walls with tapestries of
various colors. Turn tradition upside down – create a separate lounge
area with leather couches and relaxed seating. Cigar bar? Who needs
table numbers when you can use song lyrics or vacation names? Forget
floral center pieces. Put a couple vintage photographs of your family on
the table instead. Peruse the bridal magazines for inspiration and
photographer’s websites for ideas. Work with a wedding planner. Ask
your artsy sister or creative aunt to help out. Think out of the box and
create a unique event all your own.

Something Sounds Different
Not ever DJ or DJ sound system is created equal. Are they
playing vinyl? CD? Or MP3’s? Audio quality can be drastically
compromised even from one MP3 DJ and the next. The amount of musical data
is vastly different from a typical 128k/s illegal downloaded MP3 and a
professionally created 320k/s MP3 (all of our weekly updates are at 320k
and most of our vast library has been remastered to the highest level as
technology has evolved). Know what you are getting. Ask questions.
Does your DJ use the internal sound card from their laptop
or a professional external sound card for better quality? Are they using
a $10 wired microphone or a $500 wireless high-quality sounding
microphone?
When it comes to the speaker system setup for your event –
again not all things are equal. If your DJ brings in 2 speakers and
either places them on the ground or on stands, it cannot compare to a
professionally tuned 4 speaker sound system. Add to that wireless
speakers for your outdoor social hour or the back of the room with larger
venues and the room comes alive with sound. No need to blast those two
speakers to ear bleeding levels, the sound will be much more even
throughout your banquet hall. Each room is unique and speaker placement
and style should vary based on the room’s acoustics.
Drop us an email and ask us what we’d do for your event
when it comes to equipment setup. There is a reason why when you go to a
concert that they bring more than 2 speakers. Bringing more equipment
does not necessarily mean that it will be louder – it’s about allowing
people to mingle, talk and enjoy themselves and the music in a balance
environment.
Ask your DJ how much they have invested in gear and how old
it is. Many of us spend $5,000 or more each year upgrading, and
reinvesting in our great sound.
I Have A Problem And I'm Not Afraid To
Admit It
Yes, I have a problem. It involves the UPS
driver and large packages (normally in pairs). I am addicted to
speakers. Having just 1 pair is not enough. I'm not talking
about having a pair for backup. That goes without saying. What
I'm talking about is having 8 or 10 pairs of speakers. No - I don't
use them all at the same time, but based on the room's acoustics and size
event, I've been known to pick and choose which set of speakers that I
use.
There are little speakers for remote broadcast
and social hours. I have monster subwoofers for larger events and
proms. I have powered and unpowered speakers. There are 12"
and 15" and crossover points. Near field and Far field speakers.
Full-range and subwoofers. As a client, the only thing you need to
know is that I'm not going to setup your event without taking into
consideration the number of guests, the room layout, room acoustics and
where you've placed your grandparents table.
I have a problem and I'm not afraid to admit
it. I want your event to be amazing and I need to have an arsenal of
speakers to make sure that happens.
Love isn’t blind - but it
can blindside you! Of all the decisions you make in
your life, none will be as important as deciding who you’ll marry.
There’s nothing more satisfying than a good marriage, but a bad choice
can wreak havoc with your life and cause years of unhappiness. Never
fear! I have the secrets for avoiding a bad marriage, courtesy of
Psychology Today.
There are 5 areas that
form the glue that holds healthy relationships together. They are:
Love, trust, commitment,
intimacy and attachment. Just meeting
someone you like and rushing ahead isn’t enough. You need to pace
yourself and not let any one of those 5 areas get in front of another.
Because if you make a commitment before you know you can really trust
and rely on a person, you’re setting yourself up for disappointment.
The same applies for
getting emotionally involved. You shouldn’t tell your innermost feelings
to someone just because you feel an attraction and chemistry. Take the
time to see if they’ll be there for you day in and day out. Look at how
your potential mate handles family, friends, and coworkers. In other
words, take the time to really get to know your partner before taking
the plunge. Otherwise you’ll minimize problems in order to sustain the
good feelings you have. But the trouble is, problems don’t magically go
away – they just cause BIGGER problems in the long run.
So what’s the take home
message? If you want a good marriage you have to follow your heart
AND your mind to the altar. And here, again, are the 5
things that glue relationships together: Love,
trust, commitment, intimacy,
and attachment.
